Instructions
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine white chocolate chips, peanut butter, and salted butter. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring between each, until fully melted and smooth. Stir in vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
2 cups white chocolate chips, 1 cup peanut butter, 2 tablespoons vanilla extract, ½ cup butter, salt
Place the Chex cereal in a large mixing bowl and pour the melted chocolate mixture over it. Gently toss until all the cereal is evenly coated.
1 box Corn Chex cereal
In a separate bowl, whisk together powdered sugar and matcha powder.
Transfer the coated cereal into a large ziplock bag (or a large bowl with a lid). Add the matcha-powdered sugar mixture and shake well to coat evenly.
If using, toss in green and white sprinkles while the puppy chow is still slightly sticky so they adhere.
1 cup sprinkles
Spread the puppy chow on a baking sheet to cool completely. Store in an airtight container.
Notes
Use high-quality matcha powder for the best flavor—culinary-grade works well in this recipe, but premium matcha will give a more vibrant green color and smooth taste. Using matcha powder won't be as green as using melting chocolates, but it's also naturally colored and (in my opinion) has a better taste!
